This $25 deposit goes towards your final purchase of a Moose Family Meats Thanksgiving Turkey. These all-natural, hormone/antibiotic-free birds are $4.95/pound. The final weight of the bird and total price (minus your $25 deposit) will be given at pick-up at The Tavern on the Square. The final pick-up day is Wednesday, November 19th, 2025. We will notify you when the birds come in so you can pick-up when it is convenient for you. The birds come in frozen so you will need several days to thaw. And, if you purchase a Thanksgiving Turkey here, you will receive Tavern owner, Maggie Noble’s method and timeline for thawing and dry-brining your turkey!

Join The Tavern’s own Miss Tracy for a special story time in Mercantile 1931! Several stories, pumpkin cookies and a Thanksgiving-themed craft will engage your child while you either stay and play or join the grown-ups for Happy Hour. Miss Tracy is a former beloved Seneca Valley Elementary school teacher and she now mentors our team and welcomes guests with her infectious smile. We’re holding a special Thanksgiving Raffle from Mercantile 1931 this month and 100% of raffle sales will be donated to Cray Youth & Family Services, dedicated to making life better for kids in Lawrence County!
